Synthetic Sound was lucky enough to be sent a promo copy of Kitsuné Records’ ninth installment subtitled “Le Petit Bateau Edition.” Kitsuné Maison Compilation 9 is set to be released on April 26, 2010. Kitsuné has long been known for putting together records starring up-and-coming electronic and indie artists. Compilation 9 is my favorite release yet, and the list of artists contributing songs reads like a who’s who in music today. Kitsuné describes it as “the most snuggly, peaceful, motherly” compilation with a “selection that’s probably more geared at sunday afternoon than saturday night.” Kitsuné Maison Compilation 9 is a must buy. Highly recommended.

Ladytron releases Velocifero: Remixed & Rare, a compilation of the band's favorite remixes of tracks from the critically-acclaimed 2007 Velocifero album, along with two previously unreleased mixes, today.The digital album is the fourth in a series of Remixed & Rare versions of all of their studio albums.

Between them duo Ichisan & Nakova have toured the cream of the new disco stables with releases on Nang, Eskimo and Airtight. They present their debut album together for Nang, collecting thirteen Balkan disco grooves spiked with sparkling spacewise synths, cosmic guitar licks and dubbed basslines for the connoisseurs. Fans of Lindstrom, Ilija Rudman or Todd Terje should have a peek.

20-20 Vision have dropped this compilation of goodies exclusively for Juno and it's packed full of disco goodness from beginning to end. With Chicken Lips, Prins Thomas, Crazy P, Maurice Fulton and Lindstrom amongst others all on board, you know this is going to be something pretty special. Fulton's mix of Fred Everything's Elevate starts things off perfectly.

Melbourne's very own Midnight Juggernauts release their sophomore album, The Crystal Axis today. While at least two tracks have already been well and truly leaked ('This New Technology' and 'Vital Signs' bounced off our collective eardrums a while ago), listening to the album in its entirety is (inevitably) another thing altogether.
